Cornwall AONB Management Plan – adopted by Cornwall Council in April 2016

The Local Insight profile of January 2016 that Cornwall Council have created gives the ‘best fit’ geography. Our Parish covers two Lower Super Output Areas (LSOAs) which are statistical geographies however, one of these is mainly within the Pelynt Parish area. Cornwall Council have therefore taken the decision to exclude this from our profile and in real terms this means approximately 370 fewer people (23%) are identified through our profile than our latest Parish population estimate. The attached map highlights the area included and the area to the left of this is the area which has been excluded.

The Lansallos Plan 2004 documented the concerns and aspirations of the community alongside relevant facts. A great deal of work went into the plan, however there was no action plan to achieve these aspirations. This plan and the NDP are quite different, but the 2004 plan is a great resource for the NDP process.

The Polperro Conservation Area Appraisal 2003 was adopted as Supplementary Planning Guidance by Caradon District Council and may be used as a material consideration in determining planning applications.  The document has been updated in early 2018 and the draft revised Polperro Conservation Area Appraisal is now published for public consultation.
